2Tuff Forever is a special event honoring the life and legacy of Andrew Cerutti (1974–2025), also known as 2Tuff Andy, who we lost unexpectedly in January 2025.
An influential and integral part of Washington, DC’s underground music scene, Andy co-founded 2Tuff Productions in 1994 alongside DJ Slant. For over 30 years, 2Tuff has been at the forefront of promoting jungle, drum & bass, and electronic music in DC and beyond. 2Tuff is widely credited for helping establish, nurture, and lead the vibrant DC DNB scene that continues to thrive today.
Beyond his work with 2Tuff, Andy served as label manager for Fort Knox Five Recordings and managed several acts including Fort Knox Five, See-I, Nappy Riddem, and Empresarios. He was a connector in every sense—a unifying presence whose energy brought together people from different circles in the spirit of music, art, culture, and knowledge. Andy was also a college professor, devoted dog dad, fiercely loyal friend, and a loving family member.
The DJ lineup for this night reflects some of the many artists who played pivotal roles in 2Tuff’s history. DJ Trace performed at one of the very first 2Tuff warehouse raves in 1995. Bailey has been a regular guest and close supporter since 1997. DJ Flight was a DC favorite in the early 2000s. Charles Feelgood, founder of the legendary Fever night, helped shape the electronic and rave scenes in both DC and Baltimore. LoveGrove of Sonic Soul worked alongside 2Tuff in supporting the iconic Ultraworld Armory parties. Rob Paine (Solomonic Sound System) has been a 2Tuff mainstay since its earliest days. Steve Raskin of Fort Knox Five — and the extended family of DJs, bands, and funk & soul lovers—were a meaningful and important part of Andy’s life and identity.
On July 3, 2025, friends, family, and fans will gather at Flash Nightclub to remember, honor, and celebrate Andy Cerutti’s life and the powerful impact he had on our community. His legacy is one of music, connection, and culture—and 2Tuff Forever will be a night to carry that spirit forward.

BAILEY
Bailey has been entrenched in drum & bass and jungle since the earliest chapters of the movement – his role on pirate station Energy FM, his residency with Metalheadz during its most era-defining Blue Note moments, his 10-year tenure at BBC Radio 1Xtra, Ministry Of Sound Radio, the list goes on – but most importantly he’s still right in the heart of the scene now. Resolute, inspired, and dedicated; he is one of the most consistent selectors and supporters of the genre in every possible direction.
As a broadcaster, he’s never been busier with regular shows on Kool FM and The BoAt Pod and allowing him to push the very best of new drum & bass and champion new talent across multiple platforms and territories. As a promoter, he’s the founder of Intabeats, an event brand dedicated to the true underground sound that’s renowned for its midweekly and unique inner-city locations. As a vibe-obsessed producer, he has developed a powerful line of releases on Metalheadz, Dispatch, C.I.A and Full Cycle. As a lecturer at Point Blank Music School and Middlesex University, he is fully committed to ensuring the movement is just as strong for the next generation, sharing his knowledge and insights in the same impassioned way he shares the sounds he loves as a DJ.
Above all, he is one of the most articulate, incisive, deepest-digging and industry-respected DJs in the game. Foundation-deep roots and reference points and a stash of dubs you’d sell your soul for, his sets are singular experiences that join the dots and weave the genre’s many substyles. It’s why Chase & Status booked him for their RTRN II Jungle launch, why he returns year-on-year to Sun And Bass to curate his own party, why Serato have endorsed him in their Legends series… And why he remains just as in demand, involved and influential as he was when he first became entrenched in the movement.
DJ FLIGHT
DJ Flight is one of the foundations of Drum & Bass. She is an award-winning DJ, broadcaster, radio producer, and co-founder of EQ50, a collective of women working towards fairer representation in dance music.
2022 marked a string of successes for Flight as she celebrated 25 years of playing exquisite sets to music fans across the globe. The ’25 Years of Flight’ European tour culminated with a blistering b2b set with DJ Storm at Boiler Room Festival Amsterdam, a monumental two-hour soundscape that has amassed over half a million views on YouTube so far. Flight closed off the year with a DJ mag award for ‘Outstanding Contribution’ to dance music while Mixmag named her one of the ‘DJs Who Defined The Year’.
This year, ‘Turn It Up: A Short History of Drum & Bass’, a BBC radio documentary produced and narrated by Flight, received a Radio Academy ARIA nomination in the ‘Best Music Special’ category. This radio production followed ‘Windrush Stories’, an award-winning podcast series that garnered widespread acclaim for its beautiful exploration of the Caribbean experience in Britain.
Flight has a rare mystical talent that transcends time and space. For over a quarter of a century, her star has been in ascendance. Flight’s influence on the scene has been immense and in March the New York Times wrote of her inspiration to a whole new generation of artists, including Nia Archives.
Flight regularly plays at Rupture and residencies have included Metalheadz and Swerve. She has produced music with Breakage, and released on labels such as Reinforced, Bassbin, Critical, The North Quarter, and Carbon. In 2005, Flight started her own label – play:musik – which launched the career of several up and coming producers.
Flight gained worldwide recognition when she became the first woman to host a national Drum & Bass show. The Next Chapter on BBC Radio 1Xtra was a seminal fixture that quickly became The Holy Grail for discovering new styles and experimental sounds.
Flight returns to the airwaves with a new monthly radio show every third Wednesday between 9pm – 11pm on the legendary and freshly relaunched Kool FM.

DJ TRACE
DJ Trace, born Duncan Hutchison, is a seminal figure in the British drum and bass scene, renowned for his pioneering contributions to the techstep subgenre. His journey began in the late 1980s within London’s vibrant rave culture, where he gained experience working at influential record stores such as Zoom Records and Lucky Spin. His inaugural release, “Inception,” marked his entry into music production and led to a residency on Kool FM alongside MC Ryme Tyme. In 1995, Trace’s remix of T Power’s “Horny Mutant Jazz,” dubbed “The Mutant Remix,” is widely recognized as a foundational track in techstep. Collaborations with artists like Nico, Ed Rush, and Fierce culminated in the acclaimed “Torque” LP for No U-Turn Records. Further solidifying his influence, Trace established the DSCI4 label, a platform that has been instrumental in the evolution of drum and bass.
Trace also played a key role in supporting the drum and bass movement in the United States. In 1993, he performed at the legendary NASA rave in New York City with MC Ryme Tyme, making them the first-ever jungle DJ and MC duo to perform in the US, one of the early US events embracing the UK sound. His consistent presence in the US scene over the years has helped bridge the gap between British and American drum and bass communities, inspiring a new generation of producers and DJs.
In recent years, DJ Trace has continued to innovate. Partnering with Kid Drama, he formed the alias Nine Windows, a project that revisits the atmospheric sounds reminiscent of mid-1990s labels such as Lucky Spin and Good Looking Records. The “Nine Windows Mixtape,” released in October 2022, showcases this collaboration and features guest artists like Skream and Tim Reaper.
Trace’s collaborative efforts extend to releases on CNVX, including the “Sideways / Rage” single with Kid Drama in January 2022. Additionally, his partnership with HLZ resulted in the “Raptor EP,” released on the esteemed Metalheadz label.
Beyond production, DJ Trace maintains a strong presence in broadcasting. He hosts a monthly radio show on Kool FM, where he explores both classic and contemporary drum and bass sounds, often featuring collaborations and thematic mixes.
Through these endeavors, DJ Trace continues to shape and influence the drum and bass landscape, bridging the genre’s rich history with its dynamic future.

FORT KNOX FIVE
In the beginning, there was the one — the funk. A primal rhythm to connect humanity to each other and beyond. But from the one, arose Five… the Fort Knox Five — soldiers of the funk dedicated to inject the world with booty-shaking, hip grinding, funk-da-fied beats!
Originally formed in Washington DC in 2003, and inspired by the funk, soul, hip hop and punk rock of their youth, the Fort Knox Five solidified into a 4-piece band comprised of Steve Raskin, Jon Horvath, Rob Myers, and Sid Barcelona. The fifth slot in the “Five” remained open for collaboration – working with such vocal talents as Mustafa Akbar, Afrika Bambaataa, and Joe Quarterman.
Combining live instrumentation with electronic music, Fort Knox Five create grooves that shift effortlessly from funk to house, reggae to glitch hop all the way through to prime time bangers helping to pioneer a modern funk revolution that have seen them touring and performing for nearly two decades alongside industry giants and icons including The Beastie Boys, Jurassic 5, Z Trip, and Krafty Kuts.
With the untimely passing of Jon H, Steve Raskin has taken over as the principle DJ for the group and now leads the charge of the Fort Knox brigade on the road into the funky future. He tours their signature brand of glitched out funk with high energy sets in any setting from world famous clubs to some of the largest festivals across the globe.
After nearly two decades of creating solid gold funk in the gritty underground of the Nation’s Capital, Fort Knox Five keeps evolving. Steve recently relocated to British Columbia Canada, where he continues building FK5’s sonic archive of floor-rocking music, overseeing music production, live shows, and streams. Rob Myers collaborates cross-continentally on production and song writing while also touring with Thievery Corporation, and Sid Barcelona oversees the operations of the group’s label, Fort Knox Recordings.
