LENORE

Boston’s Queen of the Jungle makes her RVA debut! She is the founder and creative force behind the legendary Elements Drum and Bass weekly in Cambridge, Massachusetts (established in 1999). As one of the OG East Coast Jungle DJs, she has been pushing the sound for over 25 years stateside. Lenore and the Elements crew are well known for their events that have helped lay the foundation for East Coast drum & bass. We are excited to share Lenore’s vibes with RVA! 

Lenore is co-founder at elements, one of the longest running dance music weeklies in the world, located at the Phoenix Landing in Boston since January ’99. In the early 90’s her passion for electronic music led her to start collecting records. The collection was meant to be for home listening, but djing at underground parties somewhat accidentally and serendipitously followed. in 1996, while shopping new releases at record stores like the infamous Boston Beat, Lenore developed an affinity for jungle and has been a devotee of the genre and its various substrata ever since. Now in its 26th year, her night brings in local, national and international talent to Boston, building the reputation of one of the most prestigious dnb events in the country and world. A resident of elements since its inception, she’s known for her tastemaking selections and mood-driven set progressions, with resident nights being some of the most popular among regulars. Outside of elements, her diverse record collection and discernment in procuring fresh new sounds has made her genre-bending sets some of her most sought after of late.

KEN LAZEE

Ken Lazee is a name synonymous with DC nightlife. He has brought our scene so many amazing dancefloor times at so many incredible venues (The Owl Room and U Street Music Hall). His sets are legendary and he always brings the goods! We welcome him to the Electric Jungle to light up the dancefloor with his fantastic selection and experienced skills behind the decks. 

SEVENDAYSIN
Harbinger Industries, VA

Sevendaysin has been an active DJ and avid supporter of DC DNB for decades. His sets are consistently well crafted and can cover the full spectrum of drum & bass, more often with a lean towards the liquid side of things. He’s a veteran DJ that knows how to rock the dancefloor. He also designed the Electric Jungle flyer – Big ups & Boh! 

JOANNA O.
Turnstyle, RVA

RVA’s jungle queen has been on the decks representing the ladies for over two decades. Her soulful and vibey sets are strictly for the dance floor. Her Saturday night WRIR 97.3 FM radio sets are stellar, and it’s always a treat to see her perform live.
