The tenth anniversary celebrating the Smooth n Groove record label was a good time! There was so much good music coming thru the speakers that I didn’t get many snaps. I guess you could say that the the dancefloor was calling. Exceptional sets from the Soul Deep and Smooth n Groove crews. It was super nice to host the UK guys I’ve been listening to for decades – Madcap, Soul Structure, and Aon. It was extra special to hear Los Angeles’s Scott Allen play live down the street from where I used to sling his vinyl Soul Deep records (Turnstyle). He brought a selection of vinyl and label shirts to the night too. If you still want to grab some vinyl – email the crew and we can hook that up. Want to get a Soul Deep shirt and support the dnb movement? Scott can make that happen – Soul Deep Recordings for that. Wow! RVA big ups to the dance floor crews and party people in the place. Special thanks for making that another fun night in the books for drum and bass in our city! Til the next time..
