A Legendary Night in Virginia Beach!
What a night at Elevation 27 last Saturday! From the moment doors opened, the energy was ELECTRIC! The line outside was proof that the rave family was ready for this a night of breakbeats. The vibe never let up, and the DJs kept the dancefloor moving from start to finish. The progression from drum and bass to funky breaks, to the edgier nuskool sound to close the night was the right combo
Joanna O. set the tone with a two-hour journey through liquid drum & bass and rolling rhythms—a perfect warm-up for what next. DJ Icey followed with his signature funky Florida breaks, dropping classics like Love , (A turnstyle fave) from his deep catalog that had everyone thinking of sunshine, Miami bass, and sneakers pounding the floor!
Closing the night in epic fashion, The Crystal Method delivered exactly what fans came for: iconic tracks like Coming Back and Keep Hope Alive, with explosive mixes, and a few new and fresh cuts that are destined to become future faves.
This event was full of breakbeat bliss, filled with dance music legends, sweet vibes packed with new and old school rave family. Big respect to everyone who came through: the DJs, staff, dancers, and vibe creators who made the night one to remember. Elevation 27 is a great venue for raving it up concert style.
It was hard to take pics with all the dancing, but enjoy the mini gallery below. Thanks to friends that shared their images. Photos: J. Oremland / D. Crossman / S Dimaya.
