Dust is Chris Farmer, co-composer and drummer for seminal math rock band Breadwinner, and beats producer spanning decades and genres. Reborn in 2020 as Dust, Farmer has had three stops at boss Pav4n’s (Foreign Beggars) 4NC¥//DarkMode label, producing three 3-song EPs of grimey, 140 bpm dubstep adjacent and 160 bpm fusion for the label. He has been warmly welcomed into the grime community by the legend DJ Slimzee, frequently sponsoring him on radio and releasing his tunes on his label Slimzos Recordings. His debut featured four filthy tunes on his Torment EP followed by an afro beat grime hybrid Sheesh on Time Volume 5. The third Slimzos release is a VIP membership exclusive grime techno hybrid Mosh, picked up by J:Kenzo who dubbed it “devastating”. J:Kenzo has now premiered three Dust tunes on his Subtle Radio show, and he has also been supported by Ternion Sound and Joe Nice to name a few. As of April 2023 Dust now has a Subtle Radio DJ residency.
