The lovely Gingersnap was cool to answer a few questions for us ahead of her radio set for Frequency this Saturday, April 4th at 10 PM ET. How long have you been involved in the underground scene, and how and when did you get started?

I went to my first underground show in 2015 at Paradox in Baltimore. I had been apprehensive about going to raves, but my friends convinced me to come along. I ended up falling in love and from that night on I was hooked.

How long have you been DJ’ing, and who are a few of your current favorite artists and labels?

 I have been DJing for seven years and playing live shows for five years. My favorite artists at the moment include Need for Mirrors, Particle, Enei, Monrroe, Visages, and Monty. I love any releases from 1985, Critical Music, or V Recordings.

Tell me about your best gig ever.

I’d have to say Moonrise 2023. That was the largest crowd I have ever played for, the energy was immaculate. I’ll never forget that day. I received so much love. I’m very grateful to have had such a massive opportunity to play the local stage at the last Moonrise Festival.

Can you give a tip or word of advice for younger DJ’s coming up in the scene?

Look out for yourself. Don’t let anyone make your decisions for you.
Learn as much as you can. And stay humble.
