From Smooth N Groove:
Smooth N Groove celebrate their 10-year anniversary with an all out assault of the very best music from the label’s catalogue over the past decade.
Founded in 2016 by Clen & Christal, the driving force behind Smooth N Groove Records. The label was born from their shared passion for the underground sounds of the d&b scene. From the outset, Smooth N Groove was destined to make its mark, earning immediate and continued support from some of the scene’s most respected artists and heavy hitters.
In 2017, the duo joined forces with good friends SoulStructure and Scott Allen (head honcho of Soul Deep Recordings), to co-host producer focused label nights under the banner of Soul Deep vs Smooth N Groove. Since then, they have taken their signature sounds and vibes to major hubs including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Baltimore, and venues across the UK.
Since the label’s inception, Smooth N Groove has proudly represented some of the finest underground producers the scene has to offer, including Toez, Dave Owen, Blade, Payback, Madcap, Furney, and Dramatic, to name just a few.
One of the key factors behind the label’s growing popularity has been its consistent radio presence, showcasing the label’s sound and forthcoming releases on stations such as Inspiration FM, Different Drumz, and more recently, Future Sounds Radio.
Most importantly, none of this would have been possible without the incredible support of the d&b community. Whether you’ve purchased our releases, shared our social media content, tuned into our radio shows, or joined us in person at one of our events, your support has helped shape the journey of Smooth N Groove over the past decade. Thank you for being part of the story. Here’s to the next 10 years.
